I have noticed that when it rains heavy, the water on the Pod roof runs down to the "spoiler" in the back, and then OVER the side and ACROSS my WINDOW. I don't think thats the greatest design and sometimes during a mid-winter check (w/o cover), I do get a small trickle of water (I see ONLY the residual rusty colored remains) on the inside, below the window sill.
I saw / purchased a piece of plastic/vinyl trim and I was wondering if I put a small strip on each side, would this help divert the topside water? I only used some tape in the picture below for sizing the piece. Not installed yet (probably will install with caulk adhesive).
Does anyone think this is a BAD idea?
Does anyone else have these little "mysterious" rust streams on the inside under the window? (Yes the trim is well caulked ... but is the window frame getting overwhelmed with the large stream of water from the roof?)
