Must replace carbon monoxide detector.  What is the difference between the RV Carbon Monoxide detectors which are expensive and a $15.00 home model?

As far as I know the smoke and CO detectors are the same as home models.

I looked my detector up and it specifically stated for RV's due to the wide temperature variations and road vibrations.  The one I have in the pod is $45 dollars from amazon, basic home models around $15.  I guess I'm not sure if this is the case or just a marketing ploy.  It really isn't the cost, more is this info accurate.

I replaced the factory unit with a Kidde KN-COSM-B when it refused to stop beeping. I can only assume it works since it hasn't gone off yet. There's no indication it is or isn't designed for RV use.
