Topic: Extended Warranty? Posted: 09 Aug 2013 at 8:54am |
Yeah, many dealers don't let people know about FR's warranty since they can make more money selling the aftermarket warranties.

If there is a $150 extended warranty available, my dealer didn't let me know. Is that directly from the manufacturer? The only extended warranties they talked about were for 3 and 5 years, and they were several hundred dollars. I would go for a 2nd year at $150. I think one year is too skimpy.

I normally do not buy extended warranties. I did buy what I thought was a reasonable 3 year warranty on the 3 way fridge, as it is expensive to replace. the rest I will fix it myself.

I have had,and used the Good Sam extended warranty on a few of my rigs. They will let you start them at almost any time. You can take your unit any place that fixes rigs and they only have to get approval before they start the work. You pay a year at a time and they will set up a payment schedule. Allen

We purchased an extended warranty in 2001 when we bought a new motor home with multiple slides and loaded with state-0f-the-art features. Otherwise, we have never purchased one for new cars, travel trailers, appliances, etc.

We paid the 150 for the extended warranty. The 178 is still a fairly new model for FR and it was worth the expense, in our minds, given that bugs tend to show up after a while.
