Topic: Just made our first reservations! Posted: 19 Mar 2013 at 11:02pm |
David, there is an interesting SP south of Green Bay and just north of a town called Two Rivers. It is in an area of sandy soil with dunes and pine barrens. Might be interesting. Glad to see you!

Nearly any of the state parks will do you well. Reserve early for them as well.

I had to share the plan. I am getting so itchy to get camping I can't stand it.

I've got the 3 Holidays covered, along with a week in Sept. to go to the "Porkies" in the UP of Michigan. Do you know of any good camping areas 4-6 hours South of there, in WI? I am thinking of making a big "loop" around Lake MI and would like to stop for a day or 2 on the way back to Indy. I perfer more rustic/primative camping. Thanks for any advise!
I'll be reserving my usual week in the Smoky's in mid/later October, once the reservation "window" (6 months) opens up. Other than that, it will likely be "local" weekends as time and weather permits. I'm thinking my first trip will be about a month from now.

Been out twice this year already, though it was pretty cold both times. Headed out again weekend after next and hoping it starts to warm up!

+1, we are itching to get out. I think we are going to hit a state park at the end of the month.
