New to Rpods, not RVing. Later this week we should have a 2012 175, Wife likes the couch on the slide. We have had our eye on a rpod for a long time and since they are discontinuing the 175 floor plan, we decided we better get it before they are gone. Have been a long time member of other RV in general forums, but look forward to being a member of a forum dedicated to my RV.

Welcome to the Forum
We bought our 2012 175 a couple of weeks ago and very excited about it. We are sure you will be too. You have to be creative with storage, but there are lots of great ideas on the forum.
Years ago we started with a pop up and then moved up to a 5th wheel. After 12 years of hauling that heavy thing down the road and having the cost of fuel eat us alive we decided it was time to downsize. Right now we are working on a few modifications: larger black water hose storage, access panel to the water heater, etc. The maiden voyage is at the end of the month and we will be gone 2 weeks. Can't wait!

Welcome. I hadn't heard that they were discontinuing the 175. I wonder if they are making room for new models in the lineup.

Sure enough, the FR web site doesn't list the 175 anymore.

Hello Bill, Glad to have yet another Kentucky Podder roaming about. What part are you folk's from and what dealer are you purchasing from? You'll love the Pod so much and we are all thrilled to have you here. Just an FYI there are two mini-rally/gatherings here in Kentucky at the end of September. One up at Big Bone Lick and and 2nd smaller get together down at Green River State Park. If one or the other is close to you folks and you're looking for a trip around that time be sure to come on down! Congratulations on the Pod and we all look forward to hearing more from you.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
kymooses and moosepod now you have peaked my interest where does that come from? I am a member of a Moose Lodge any connection?
We are from west of Bowling Green. We are getting our Pod from Bankston in Nashville I could have maybe saved a few dollars going else where but decided this time to deal closer to home.

No connection to any lodges or anything. Goes back about 15 years when my wife and I were just started dating and I started taking her tent camping. One of our first trips she emerges from the tent pretty late in the morning since she hadn't slept too well on the ground in a sleeping bag. But her hair was in all directions, I guess she used lots of hair spray back then because there was a hard rack of antlers on top of her head. I teasingly called her a grumpy moose for sleeping so late and looking like she did. The nickname stuck and now today a lot of our home is decorated in cabin/lodge/moose stuff and now also so is our Pod!

Tomorrow is the day. \o/ Any tips on any thing out of the ordinary to look for on the PDI that I may not have thought of since I'm not totally familiar with the Rpod yet. Will post some photos soon. Need to think of where to go for a couple day shake down trip.
