The DVD player is part of the unit, open the drawer and put DVD in, unless you have something different? From the factory it came with a combo TV,DVD,Radio.

I'll take a pic when I get home tonight, but..... (Unless yours is not like mine......)
The TV out is the RCA jack. All by itself, above everything else, right side of inside of TV hole. Put one end of the yellow RCA cable into that and the other end into the back of the TV. The red and white cables (attached to the yellow) are not used....
Not intuitive, I know...... But think about how I figured it out.... First night ever in a camper, in the dealers lot (planning on signing papers in the morning), with my 5 year old wanting to watch Ice Age before going to bed, and I am an engineer (I have 'the knack' and should know how to hook this up)....

I've got a one-piece unit too so can't help there. But if I understand this last post correctly, it sounds like you want to hook the OUTPUT of the built-in DVD player into a separate TV ? Is that correct ?. Not sure if that is possible with the unit that comes with the Pods.
That being said ...I do have a 22" flat panel TV hooked up in our 177. I split the incoming cable signal to the rear of the entertainment center box and fed separate leads to the built-in TV/DVD/FM unit AND to my 22" flat panel. That way if I am at a campground that offers cable TV I can mount the 22" TV and watch is from the dinnette area instead of squinting at the little 9" drop-down on the built-in unit.
Make sense ??

Nevermind I now see your post.
'Slogger-
Where do you have the 22"? Did you take the other one down? We pick up our 2013 177 on Saturday and will want another tv but not sure where it will go.
Thanks in advance Jacob

Any thoughts on how to set the tv up so you can travel with it in the cubby and not packing it up, I'm thinking metal strapping for plumbing

That is my project for the weekend!!! I was thinking a number of options (not listed in any particular order). The first one is similar to yours, I think.
- Baby furniture safety straps (basically permanently mounted zip ties)
- Industrial Velcro on the back & bottom (stick it to the cabinet, but keep it removable)
- Hard rubber bungee across the front (placement is key, don't want it to jump over / slip under)
- Thick foam in front, held in place by bungee / netting
- Screw through base to bottom of shelf (along with a top strap to be sure)
- Actual flat panel TV mount (and reinforce cabinet back to handle weight)
Or my actual favorite, but would require quite a bit more work:
- 90+ degree swivel flat panel mount; mounted to camper side wall (reinforced); hole cut in back of cabinet to allow TV to swing into an "upper bunk viewing" position or into the standard "you are in the way while cooking" position.

Hi There,
I'm a new 176T owner and followed your (E-Train) instructions for hooking up the DVD player to the TV. When i insert the DVD into the slot (there is no drawer in our model), the player accepts the DVD and then spits it out. Any ideas as to what is causing this?
Thanks,
