I have trouble parking my pod in my driveway.. it is on a bit of an angle and can't back straight in. I have to go in on an angle over my lawn.. I tore off one stabilizer already, and took a chunk out of my new pavement.. would really like these risers!

You need a new local RV place. They are a factory option on pods east of the Mississippi, and STANDARD on pods west of it.. If you feel comfortable lifting and supporting the pod, and disconnecting (one side at a time) a straight axle, then you can add these.

Not hard if you have some basic tools and a little knowledge of how to use them. It is a bolt on upgrade so no cutting or welding is required. It took me about 2 hours to complete. I would recommend using an impact wrench as it would be quite tedious to do with a ratchet.
There was a good post on how to do it either here are on the nation forum.

My main reason from the riser was for dumping. It's just too low to use a poo-tank, as is.

Yes, many of us have found that the stock height is just too low. Damaged stabilizers are usually the result.

My '12 Rpod 176T came with the risers. I got positive comments at the campground about the great clearance; but why did they add them in the first place? Was it for the clearance?

I bought mine from forest river. They wanted my vin and said they were vin specific. They were only $75.00 for the ones I bought. I would check with who you bought them from and mention that.

There are more than one Axle Risers. They needed my Model and Vin number in order to get me the correct set.
