Really enjoyed your website and pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. We are going to camp in Colorado this summer and any ideas of "do or don't" is appreciated.

Welcome. We plan on doing the same as you in a year or two. Just bought a Suburban and bought the pod, both specifically for 1 or 2 tours around the US. Plus all of our usual weekend and week-long trips.
If you have any questions, fire away.

Sounds like a nice trip. We enjoyed ourselves in that part of North America last fall. Welcome to the forum. Tom and Bette

Hi, This in an introductory message. I am a retired librarian and my wife is an elementary school teacher (hint - summers off). We bought a used RPod 173 in February 2011 to take a long trip showing the western part of USA to my son, and re-acquaint myself. We bought a used Suburban for a tow vehicle. Summer 2011 we took a trip from the southern tip of Texas to the NE corner of N Mexico then through all the national parks north of Colorado Springs to and including Glacier NP. Then headed west to Seattle and Olympic NP and south through the Redwoods area and San Francisco, Yosemite and northern Los Angeles. About that time we needed to get home for my school teacher wife to set up her classroom for the next school year... so we hurried on home through ElPaso - Alpine - Laredo and home. details linked from http://www.stexboat.com/vacation/vacation.htm (hobby website) A link to a page listing various modifications we made is also there... as is a how-to on the very interesting microwave/convection oven. We have not weekended in the RPod. From where we live it is a long way to anywhere the weather is not hot. - Gerard Mittelstaedt McAllen, Texas
