I have been looking at replacing the side marker lights with LED's for sometime and adding all of the lights on the fenders and the ID lights on the back.
Step 1, replaced the side markers with a 12 LED light that was a little longer than the originals but just as wide with the chrome bezel. Changed out the license plate light with one that has 3 LED's.
Step 2, added a Thin Line 6 LED light to the fenders just above the reflective stickers on the front and back sides. Was able to run the wires in with the brake wires from the right side over to the left side where I tied them together with the left side and ran them up to the front to connect at the same point where the 7-way power cord connects to the trailer wiring.
Step 3, added a new light bar with the 3 ID lights in the middle and a marker light on the left and right upper corners. The light bar is made from vinyl window sill material that I cut down to size and shaped, it has a channel that works perfect to run the wires in. The lights have 2 LED's and all connections are soldered. Was able to run the wires down the side under the vinyl trim that covers the screws and tie them in with the marker lights on the left side.   Goose

That's a nice job you did there!

It looks great!

Did you get the marker lights online or in a store?  Where did you get them?

Burt, I picked up all of the lights at Iowa-80 Truckstop, you can go on-line to Iowa- 80 truckstop.com,go to Crome shop and click on clearance/marker lights. Another place to look is at Bigrig Crome Shop.com, they have a different selection of manufacturers of lights. I stopped at Iowa-80 on my way back to Illinois one day as sometimes it is easier to see things up close rather than in a picture.
DocTom you have to talk to Terri about that, it would only take a couple of weekends after getting everything ready.     Goose
