Yes, the bottom screen goes behind the tire.  You'll have to make a vertical cut to fit it around the axle.  As far as the step, your instinct probably says to make a horizontal cut - don't - instead, make two vertical cuts, one at either side of the step that goes as high as the step.  That way, you'll have a piece of screen which slides behind the step.

Suction cups sound good ... If I can find them.  If not, I know I can get some  white Velcro buttons  -or make them and it will probably do the same, I think.

Also, thanks for confirming the need for the slit cut in the bottom screen.

We've never used the screen, but others here have cut it like you said.  There are plastic tabs that screw into the pod that match up with the metal rings but I don't suggest using them.  Ours have always been a huge pain (hard to snap on/off, and some don't hold well) and I've seen other methods tried successfully such as suction cups.

I opened my Dome tent for the first time. ... Purchased from prev owner.  No instructions found.  It seemed to go up fairly straight forward having had some tent experience. But I have two question

1. The bottom screen that slides onto the bottom of camper ... How should it fit over the wheel and steps? I was thinking of cutting some slots in the screening ... No going back!

2. The sides of the tent looks like it should ATTACH to the exterior wall with snaps, but nothing is there ... Does it just lay against the side? Am I missing parts?

I was happy it wasn't to hard to put up ...  Need to buy some stakes to keep the skirt of tent to ground.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
