Just now starting to absorb all the info from our walk-through last Saturday. With the Pod now sitting in the driveway I notice something I didn't see at the dealer. Have already shot a note to the dealer but thought I'd poll the owners too.

When I run the slide-out all the way outward the padded wall seals well and I hear the ratcheting sound    ....but when I look down at the floor level there is a few inch gap about 5" high on both sides between the "baseboard" of the slide-out module and the physical wooden trim of the inner Pod wall. Looks kinda strange and "incomplete" and my concern, over and above the aesthetics" is that there would be a draft or some little 4 legged varmints might try to set up housekeeping inside thismwinter.

Anyone else with a 177 notice this    ...or is it just me ? It's almost as if the base trim was cut too short or that I am missing a trim piece.

Other than that I'm just reading my manuals and gettimg familiar with all the systems. Dealer had already winterized the unit so I don't have to mess with that so I'm concentrating onmthe mechanical and electrical stuff for now.

Thanks in advance for any and all reply,

MJ

I just went out an looked at mine, and I think you may be missing a trim piece?? I don't notice this large opening on the sides of mine.

I was having a mouse problem in mine, I am pretty sure they were getting in where the rubber gasket seals along the lower edge of the slide out.  I took blue painters tape and taped the gasket tight against the camper - and I jammed those dryer sheets in the little voids where the slide out tracks are - and taped those areas with blue tape.

Knock on wood no mice in the camper since I did that.

===============

justto be clear (not that it makes much difference), the gaps are at the edges of the cabinet section pretty much under the sink and on the sides. Still haven't heard back from the FR dealer.

Thanks again for your reply,

Snowing like crazy right now    ...but that's something I had planned to do. Guess I'm going to find out if my slide-out leaks :-)

Ok    ...so I fairly new to this site but pretty computer savy. What's the secret to uploading a pic and inserting it in a message?

Use the Post Reply button just below the last post. Then use the little button that looks like a tree with an arrow pointing up.

It's probably because I only have "Groupie" status on the forum - - I'm not worthy !

But Imdo have a couple pics so when we figure all this out I will post them.
