Topic: The "Other" R-Pod User Group Posted: 25 Jul 2011 at 8:59pm |
Just wondering what/how long it takes to be "approved" by an Admin over at R-Pod Nation.
What has everybody else's experience been ...or should I just give up on the whole process?

It took few days for me...if you explore some of the threads, reading between the lines, you will see that admin is not an all consuming avocation for the administrator,

It does take a while sometimes but you should not give up on the process. BOTH forums are invaluable resources for information and there are great people on both as well.

rpod-owners.com is run and maintained by true r-pod owners or people that have owned an r-pod and We are not DEALER run so this site is more open to all.

The back story is posted in the Introduce Yourself sub-forum, but the quick summary is both forums were started by the same person. The other one was started first, then when the business relationship was ended this one was started so we would have a place to talk w/o censorship. On the other site you can't talk about other dealers, other models, or anything else they don't want you to talk about. The only times we've deleted posts or threads here is when they are spam. The only times we've edited posts was to help out with formatting and things like that (and usually we'll add a note at the bottom indicating we made a change and why).
BTW, while my title is Admin I'm not the one that started either forum. I was one of the most active members on the other site until this one started, then I made the choice to only support this one.

Thanks Techntrek ...very helpful..
As a newbie to the R-Pod forums I have no axes to grind, but that back story makes a lot of sense. We currently belong to a user forum of T@B owners and have gone through much the same process.
