Hi...we are taking our new 177 Pod out for the first time tomorrow.  Yikes!  We have never owned an RV (or anything else for camping)...so we are totally excited.  So do people use that hanging thing in the bathroom?  But if you fill it up with "stuff", then isn't it too heavy to keep moving out when you need the room for other uses?  Also, any advice about recovering the cushions.....I want to make new covers that are more sturdy and easy to clean....Thanks....< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="ifofjsCall==''jsCall;elsesetTimeout'jsCall',500;" id="jsProxy" ="">

The new dome is not an E-Z-up but it is quite easy.  The track on the new 177 we have is large enough that the dome threads easily into it, but there are still a few screws that you may have to screw in a bit more to keep it from catching on them.  I also widened the opening ends just a bit with a large screwdriver just to help a bit more.  I keep a can of silicone spray in the basement and use it occasionaly.  I love our dome.

Okay, Goose and PawPod -- what I want to know is HOW to hang the shower rod over the bed.  Would you put it diagnonally in the bed corner closest to the bathroom or can it even be put up across diagonally?  (Surely, it would take a special bracket.)  And is there a problem putting screws in those walls?  Or should you just hang a long rod over one end of the bed near the ceiling?  I really want to figure out how to do this.  Because it would be wonderful to be able to transfer that "hanging closet" over the bed to free up the bathroom sometimes.  I'm looking forward to your GREAT ideas!

LOL Well, I will let you know about the new R-dome as soon as I try it out.  Basically, from the way it was explained to me, Forest River made the track at the top of the pod wider so that the tent would slide through more easily, and filing down those screw heads is no longer necessary.  In addition, there are hooks with suction cups that go on the side of the pod, and the grommets go through the hooks to help hold or attach the side corners of the R-Dome to the pod.  It "sounds" easy, but we'll see!

Welcome.  I can't believe nobody has asked the question yet...  "the new EZ-up R-dome"???  We definitely need pictures, specs and a full review!
