That is a fact. It's not unusual to see > 500 inches of snow in many Sierra areas. That's over 40 feet of snow.

We went cross-country skiing with some friends once. We stopped for a picnic, and when one of the guys unstrapped and stepped off his skis, he went down 12 feet! It was entertaining getting him back up.

Yeah, headed up to Donner Lake this coming weekend (first trip in the mountains with the pod).  Will take our time....

Yes, it is 6,400 but that seems overly optimistic to me. My Tacoma does really well pulling the pod but I have yet to take it up any steep mountain grades. I’ve seen posts on the Tacoma World forums of people towing large travel trailers with dry weights of 5,000 lbs with a Tacoma. Seems fool hardy to me. If you want a big trailer get a big truck.

Yes, you can definitely feel the weight of the trailer.  I believe the Tacoma with the Tow package is rated up to 6,400 pounds, seems like towing much more than an RPOD would be tough.  Love the RPOD anyways so it all worked out.

I like the Tacoma too. I have a 2011 Tacoma V6 PreRunner Access Cab. I certainly wouldn’t want to pull anything heavier than the rPod with my truck. You can really feel the weight on the grades.

I’m getting about 10 and a half mpg pulling my 180.

Looks nice! I liked the 190 but my wife fell in love with the big rear bath on the 180.

Congrats on your 180!  We looked at the 180 as well, very nice.  Good idea with the trickle charger in the garage.

Thanks for the feedback to simply just remove the battery between trips, makes sense.  We love the 190 setup.
