Greetings! Recently purchased a 2019 RPOD 190. First travel trailer ever, been tent camping for a long time. Have been having fun getting everything sorted out. So far, just one short trip, but headed out soon for more. Recent adventure has been understanding the battery better. Didn't realize there was a draw on the battery even during storage, looking at Battery disconnect switches to hopefully solve that. |

Hope you have fun with your new 190. We have a new 180 and we love it. I remove the battery between trips and store it in the garage. Where we live it's safer that way. I had someone steal the battery off my tent trailer several years ago. You can get a trickle charger from Harbor Freight for about $9 that will keep your battery charged in storage. It's a little wall wort and two battery clamps. I just saw it in the store today. I went in to buy a extendible brush to wash the pod. If you leave the battery hooked up to the pod it will run down because of the LPG detector.

I like the Tacoma too. I have a 2011 Tacoma V6 PreRunner Access Cab. I certainly wouldn’t want to pull anything heavier than the rPod with my truck. You can really feel the weight on the grades.
I’m getting about 10 and a half mpg pulling my 180. |

Yes, you can definitely feel the weight of the trailer. I believe the Tacoma with the Tow package is rated up to 6,400 pounds, seems like towing much more than an RPOD would be tough. Love the RPOD anyways so it all worked out. |

Yes, it is 6,400 but that seems overly optimistic to me. My Tacoma does really well pulling the pod but I have yet to take it up any steep mountain grades. I’ve seen posts on the Tacoma World forums of people towing large travel trailers with dry weights of 5,000 lbs with a Tacoma. Seems fool hardy to me. If you want a big trailer get a big truck. |

That is a neat area. We visited the monument last summer for the second time. The first time we visited I wondered why the monument was so high then learned that it is the height of the snow that trapped the Donner Party.
