Topic: Slide Problem Posted: 26 Oct 2016 at 8:17am |
"Actually, you would have.. "missing bolts" mean they are supposed to be there. It's what holds the slide frame in place." The only 2015's that I've seen with the bolts are the ones that have had issues with the slide pulling away. If the slide has exerted enough force on the side of the trailer to pull that frame out what has it done to the side of the trailer itself? That's the question I have. The "missing bolts" are to fix a design flaw not something that was missed at the factory as far as I can tell.

Needless to say I don't want their "fix" I wouldn't have bought the unit with bolts sticking through it like that, but now I'm supposed to accept it like that. |

I had the same problem with my 2016 rpod 179. The screws backed off the frame of the pull out. I siliconed and re-screwed the frame. It is with the dealer now, so I hope they get the proper fix for it.

You can't see the bolt ends when the slide is deployed, unless you're really looking for them. The fascia from the trim on the slide covers them up.

If that's what they're going to look like I'm pretty sure I don't want them. I don't like the looks of the inside...

After taking my 180 to dealer to get slide repaired they called and need me to bring it back as Forest River said it also needed bolts and they had received them so will be taking it back in two weeks for the bolts to be added.
