Over 12 months that seems expensive, I think I pay half that.

I purchased my r-pod with no financing. I have a policy with State Farm that runs $23.00 a month. It's worth it to me for peace of mind.

Yes, liability is the "minimum while hitched" coverage. Then there is comprehensive coverage if you pay for it (which is what a bank will require if it is financed, like a car). Then there are various levels of repair/replacement warranty coverage like XtraRide which is what my camper came with. Wasn't clear before!

Thanks for the replies.
When I bought my trailer, I purchased a Progressive policy (since USAA does not offer RV insurance and progressive is a third party).
I had not realized they had sold me the wrong policy that was costing $290 a yr. (I had no idea there was a difference in RV and trailer coverage).
Due to another post earlier on this forum regarding AAA, I called and inquired about their coverage.
They were very helpful and explained I needed to call my insurer and ask for comprehensive and collision; liability is already covered by my auto policy.
Although USAA is not inexpensive, I was able to save almost $100 a year over what I was paying Progressive.

Pretty sure Maryland is the same as Virginia and there is NO physical coverage provided for a recreational vehicle while "hitched". It would have liability, i. e. damage to others only.
