Which battery was discharged in transit, the trailer (TT) or the car (TV). If you tow with the fridge on 12 volts it can discharge the TT battery, but the car should keep the TV battery charged.

No, the battery was drained in transit. Trailer was unplugged from TV as soon as we got to the destination. I am getting a low battery warning in the TV whenever I tow it for an extended period of time. Something is not right in the wiring somewhere. It will not charge the batteries when plugged in as well either. Have an appointment with the dealer in a couple weeks to take a look at it. Guessing it is probably something to do with the hitch wiring that was done by the dealer. Batteries on the trailer charge fine when plugged into power.

Yup, its the TV.  My Suburban doesn't disconnect the +12 line when it is off, I learned the hard way the first time I left it plugged in.  So I will unplug the Bargeman.

If the car (TV) battery drained with the engine off the problem is with the TV, not the camper. The TV should included a relay to disconnect the trailer when the engine is off. Check with your auto mechanic or shop.

Hello! New owner of a '15 171 R-Pod here. Been looking for awhile for the perfect trailer that would tow behind my crossover SUV. Needed something light, but wanted all the conveniences of a bigger trailer, so ended up with the R-Pod (which I had my eye on anyways). Love it so far. Have some electrical issues the dealer needs to address (drained the car battery when I took it out the first time). Otherwise, had a great time on it's maiden camping voyage...

Cheers and happy camping!
