Here are things I did to mine which quieted it down: http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1433&PID=49114&title=possible-replacement-for-the-a-c#49114

Thanks Mark. The unit does not vibrate. The unit is loud I guess because seems like there is only one speed. What vibrates is the tiny door that controls the air coming down (when the door is open all the way) or going off to the sides (when the door is shut). Either the plastic is too thin or the door track is too roomy (wide).

There is a quiet kit for some of the Dometic AC units built around the year 2012. We had one installed for our Dometic AC our camper is a 2012. If you call Dometic and give them your serial number for your AC they will let you know. It helps some with the noise but having less vibration I think was more noticeable.

If you can get up on the top of the pod, you may want to remove the A/C cover and check the blower mounting screws. It's mounted on four rubber isolating washers, and if the screws loosen up the fan unit can cause quite a bit of vibration. I've had to tighten mine once.

We recently purchased a 2012 about 18 foot with slide-out. The air unit vibrates, particularly the little door that slides open and shut to control the amount of air blowing downward. We are thinking of gluing a small piece of soft foam around that little door edge (if we can get at it). Thoughts welcomed....Dennis and Carla
