That's a great idea, Doug. Where would one buy those values? Do you have a link? |
Any home improvement store, hardware store etc has them.

You're just going to have to leave the plug out and flush water through the tank until you've cleared out the pink stuff.
For the low-point drains, use two pairs of wrenches/pliers/vice grips, one on the cap and one on the brass fitting. Otherwise, if the cap is on tightly, you'll just end up twisting the pipes.

Cut the foam away from the low points. As far as the FW tank, stick hose in fill port, open drain on bottom.. flush to your hearts content, it's all potable.

Could just leave the plug out and run some fresh water in the tank fill. If you are de-winterizing you will need to sanitize as well.

So I have read about de winterizing and Think I got the steps, however the previous owner put pink stuff in the fresh water tank. I opened the low point plug but there is still water in there, Is there a trick other than driving around with the low point drain open to get the water out of the tank? I guess I could jack up the rear but that still won't get all the water out. I guess I also could just keep adding water until it is so diluted but I hate to waste that many gallons of water before I can even sanitize.
Also, the hot and cold low point drains are inbedded in the spray foam and I tried some nice vice grips but was afraid to turn too much. Is there a trick to get those drain caps off.
