My Walmart has a serviceable RV section and towing section in the auto area.  As well as a lot of camping stuff.  

I would suggest 2x lumber for leveling the trailer.  1x has tendency to split (and make good kindling).  One could glue and screw two 1x8 s together to get a tough piece of 2x, but that's a lot of work.  I carry six or so pieces of 2x8 (left over rafter ends from the house remodel), and use them for leveling blocks. Two pieces are a bit longer and are the base and the shorter ones on top, staggered for easier moving up the step.  If they aren't needed to level, they make good weights to hold down the r-dome skirt.

I installed a 5 foot Super-Tube by DW Incorporated. It accommodates the 15 foot RhinoFlex hose kit and all the couplers. I installed mine crossways under the pod body just forward of the waste tanks. It takes some care in placement, but it fit on my 172.

All,

Thank you for such great suggestions.  I like the idea of saving a few bucks, so I am going to use all of these ideas.

1) I never think of Walmart as carrying RV gear like chocks.
2).great point on the sewer hose.  I will look for a 10 ft or modify.
3).i think I have some 1x8 in the basement that will work great

Any other suggestions for us newbies are great.

Waynemaw, I see you're getting a 15' length of sewer hose.  I dunno about the newer Pods, but with my older '10 RP 175 the tube for storing the sewer hose would only accept a 10 foot length of hose. Lots of owners have done some pretty creative modifications to be able to carry longer lengths of hose. Storage for only ten feet is/was a pain, as you often need at least 15 or 20 feet.

I agree with Tech.  You can also buy a long length of 2x8 for the price if the leveling blocks and cut down to 12 and 24" lengths. And some decent chocks at Walmart for much less.

Pretty comprehensive list.  You might be able to throw together some things cheaper with regular stuff, like the first aid kit and the dinnerware set.

Glad to see more 176T's and 172T's starting to enter the picture.  Congrats on the new rpod.  Our delivery was moved out by one day to this Friday.  Needless to say I am chomping at the bit.  We have already booked out Memorial Day trip to a local campground in Rochester, MA, the gateway to Cape Cod.  I am also compiling my list of things I need to buy based on the reading I have been doing.

Here is my list of items I have compiled on Amazon.  I need to add sheets and a mattress topper for the queen bed and "massage table sheets" for the bunks.  If anyone else has any other must have's let me know.

Thanks for the info. We may head back toward home and go to Hungry Mother or New River Trail and just keep our fingers crossed that all goes ok. Yes we are getting it from Country Roads RV.  I have read good things from this forum about them. We are a little nervous as we purchased our Pod strictly from viewing online .  We currently have a Viking Legend 240st which I love but DH is 'over' putting up and taking down, thus our camping adventures have dwindled.  Loved the pull out tent feature and neither of us wants a huge RV.. so the R-Pod seems as if it will suite our needs.  Will post pics if I can figure it all out.
