That's because my ex-wife is there.  Obviously she continues to screw up everything....

Maine has crazy unpredictable weather this time of year and what was supposed to be a rainy day in the zoo that is Freeport turned out to be a very sunny day stuck in a town that is an outlet mall in disguise. Dead

Now that we are finally home, I hear it's supposed to be 6 continuous days of sunshine up in Bar Harbor. Boo. Angry Cry

So tempting But we'd need a new TV for a 171. I noticed that the FR website has new specs for the 172 showing the hitch weight as much heavier than the previous specs. When we got our 152, the 172's hitch weight was only a tiny bit more, which is probably why the 152 was discontinued

It started off sunny today but grew overcast by the afternoon and started sprinkling again by late afternoon. Boo. We managed to get a small hike in around Jordan Pond, Chai got to chase her first red squirrel and sniff out some sort of animal in the rocks. Sadly all the wild bluberries and huckleberries were done for the season but at least I didn't have to compete for them with Chai. Teaching a dog to like and find wild blueberries is a very very bad idea.   The last time I ever ate a wild blueberry was just before the a-ha! bulb went off in her little head.

We also went to the Asticou Azaela gardens (not dog friendly) for a bit as well. Cooler temps meant that we could safely leave her in the car to nap.

We did think of going to the Home Depot to look for a tarp, but as we're short people we'd also be shopping for a real ladder. A river of gravel and muddy water was running through the r-dome and swamping my picnic mat, so at that point we didn't bother and just stayed inside.

We really did appreciate having the back window as we could still see the sea and had a great view despite the weather. If we ever upgrade to a larger unit (our 152 was feelig really small the second day stuck in the rain) a rear window will be a must.

You mentioned elsewhere that the rain was coming in so hard it was misting through the Dome.  You could try buying a 12 x 12 tarp (maybe a little bigger) to go over the top.  Go for a light color like yellow to let light through.  I do this with my EZ-ups since they aren't waterproof.

I never go anywhere without my microwaveable aroma neck warmer thingy!! and of course a microwave! Hope the sun comes out today. Our Pod sits in our driveway waiting for me to finish washing and waxing it,,,but with the rain, that has been a no go.
