Gastropod is back home again and heading out on her first long trip with wonky hinges. A whole new door has been ordered but won't be in for 6 weeks.
It does look like they bent the hiinges a bit because the man door opens a little easier now. They were very apologetic. At least we got her back in time to cool the refrigerator and finish packing.

It happened because Murphy knows you are leaving for a long trip on Friday.

Gastropod is in again It seems the bottom hinge is moving and binding so they will look at it and have it fixed by departure time on Friday. Fortunately I had it almost packed. Just some clothes and the refrigerated items to add and we can carry them to the dealership in the Durango. This is not how I expected to set out on a six-week trip but the door was really hard to open and we were afraid metal fatigue would eventually break the hinge. We are still hoping the dealership gets it done BEFORE Friday but this is their busiest time of the year and we appreciate that they will get it done on short notice.
I can't imagine what suddenly made the hinge go wonky. It's not like anyone was swinging on the door..Even if they had , that would be the top hinge, not the bottom, taking the strain. Weird. As long as it is fixed. Sigh.

I had to have my door adjusted as there could be light seen through the seal from the outside. Warrenty took care of it, no problem. A-OK now.

No problems with exterior hinges, but the ones on the bathroom door squeak quite a bit.
