Sorry for the tardy reply guys.
The accumulator tank works by storing 2 gallons of water under pressure of the rubber bellows or bladder within the tank, so the pump pumps 2 gallons into the tank and shuts off then, when you turn on the faucet the water is drawn from the tank down to a predetermined pressure before the pump kicks on again. The result is that the pump does not kick on the instant you turn on the faucet, instead, the tank probably delivers about a gallon of water before the pump has to switch on again in order to restore the pressure in the accumulator tank. The pump works for longer periods at a time but only comes on now and then instead of each time you open the faucet. Whew, brevity is not my strong point. As for the wire rack attachment to the wall, I used wall anchors that were first glued on with Gorilla Glue, on most of the screws. On some screws I got lucky and happened to drill into one of the aluminum framing members and that provides an excellent anchor point. |

What did you use as an achor when you mounted the shelves to the exterior walls? Just screws, or screws with wall anchors? |

Thanks techntrek,
We're very gratified at how well the mods turned out and how well it all functions together. We've put countless hours into improving on our pod and the decision to sell came almost as a surprise. But hey, life throws you curves and you have to adapt. Joe |

SOLD! SOLD!SOLD! To a very nice couple who full time in their class A and will use the pod to take vacations from their vacation.
Photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/11338737@N07/sets/7215769/ Purchased in March 2010, used a few times. Purchased with every option except the R-dome; we do however have a screened in Gazebo that we'd be willing to toss in. It does have the axle riser Kit. Please use the above link for pictures. We've added a lot to this trailer, here is the not so short list: 1500 W continuous 3000 W peak Cobra inverter which can power everything but the A/C.(Trailer is ready for dry camping) Dual battery rack with two deep cycle batteries Two 20 lb propane tanks with cover (rack installed by dealer) Privacy curtain for bedroom Replaced cheesy blinds with light blocking curtains (they match the decor quite well, we thought) 19" HD TV with built in flash drive and CD player (DirecTV receiver is included if you want it) 7 extra wire racks with baskets added to trailer for extended camping storage. (How can you function without additional storage?) Replaced 4 of the lights with 12V fluorescent lights for power conservation when dry camping. Two additional 115 AC power outlets installed. My favorite: a fold up wood table adjacent to the kitchen slide. (left of the bathroom door) We replaced the large folding grab handle with the smaller 16", to us it just looks and functions better. Wood Cover for stove Sink cover 4 tier wire rack in bathroom Castor wheel for moving trailer 2 gallon Shurflo stainless steel accumulator tank This trailer is a $1000 less than what you would pay for it at a dealer, it's only 5 months old and is still under warranty. It has many added features that make camping in it much more enjoyable and possible, for extended periods. Paid $14,000, need $13,000 (which is close to what we owe) zeeggy79@yahoo.com |
