A big thanks to everyone who helped us make this decision.  We ordered a 172 today with a hopeful delivery of mid July.  I guess that officially makes us WI Podders.   Now I need to figure out what else we need.  We plan to go to as many national and state parks as possible so if you have suggestions on how to outfit our new home away from home, let us know.  We have been tent campers all our lives and this is the new version of that now that we are retiring.  I spent my last night in a tent in severe thunderstorms last year.  People near us had tents leveled.  We were lucky.  Hope the pod is a better bet.

Congratulations!!

We had a particularly nasty and terrible last year in our tent the year before we bought our Pod also.  You'll be much happier in all weather conditions now.

Glad to have you Podding with us.

Congrats.  We had a long week in our popup next to a busy road which was our last straw.  That and a bad back, and all the extra setup.

Saw some pretty bad weather in tents, that's for sure. Had our tent blow down in Germany when a freak storm came up and blew down over a million trees. And our tent. But it was a rainy week in Indiana that helped us decide to go with a TT, that and being able to go farther from home and take our dogs..

So.. welcome!! enjoy. Lots of info here on what you need to start.
