OK....still trying to decide between the dome and the new Paha-Que awning. So, will the dome actually be a good fit for a 2015 178 with risers? Person from Forest River said it might come up a little short. For 600.00, I would like for it to be a good fit.

Thoughts? Thanks!

With risers they do come up a bit short, the rain flaps will still touch the ground in the back.  We've used ours that way for 4 years now, with no issue.

I do understand the idea behind the money it should fit without problem.  It still works very well.  Just a longer stake at the back and a bungee cord or two to the stabilizers holds it firmly.

It's 99% a visual issue as it still closes you in very well.  And even campground levelness will affect that degree to which it needs adjusting.

And I prefer my dome so that I can close it up completely when it rains.

Thanks.....for the longest time, I have been leaning toward the
PaHa-Que,but I think I am leaning the Rdome direction now. Everyone seems to really love theirs.

Thanks so much!

I'm on the other side of the fence.  We always prefered setting up one or two of our EZ-ups.  The Dome only was used on long rainy weekends, or week-long trips.

If for example something happened to ours tomorrow, I would immediately replace it without question of the price for it.  For us it's worth it for what it does.  We keep ours rolled up on all side and the front rolled all the way down and it makes a perfect awning.

Then at night if it's calling for a heavy dew or rain we'll roll up the sides of the dome before bed and then open it back up in the morning.

It's nice to not have to scurry to get everything someplace dry or to have to put things up at night.

If we happen to be somewhere very shaded I sometimes won't put the dome up on a trip.  It's nice then to just not have something over your head and to be in the trees.

Pretty much run just the same as kymooses. Spring and fall we carry an extra 120v heater for the dome.. close it up, turn on the milk house heater.. everybody is over for coffee and cocoa most stat.

I have the Hood River 179 and the dome does come up short. I'm seriously considering finding a tent maker and have them sew another foot of material to the bottom of the dome.
