Did you know that almost all RV storage doors have the same lock? Yep! So if the camper next to you is eyeballing your new "whatever", and you lock it up in your storage compartment, all he has to do is wait for you to go sight seeing. Then just use his key to open your storage compartment and help himself to your fancy "whatever"!
The solution: all you have to do is remove the lock and take it to a locksmith and have it re-keyed.

You can also buy new locks from an RV store and replace them all together. I like your idea better, that way you are sure not to be keyed the same as the original or the replacement.

We went to the hardware store and bought new Cam Locks. Cost about $4.00 each and replaced ours. This was one of the first mods we did. Only problem is if a person really wants to get in they just need a pry bar and they will be in quickly. Anything we really value we lock in the Car or inside the camper.
