Just a quick post to introduce myself to the group. My husband & I are off tomorrow afternoon to pick up our 2016 RP 179 from Traveland in Abbotsford, BC.  So excited!  We're still working full time, so it'll be weekend trips for us until October, when we're planning a week away in Washington State.  In the meantime, we've just booked a night at a nearby campground so we can at least take the new 179 out and play with it a bit!

Looking forward to getting to know some of you better, and so glad to have found this forum - it's already answered many of our questions.

Cheers,

Deborah Smile

Welcome. I could see your country across the river yesterday (Niagara Falls).

That's cool, Doug.  My husband is from the area around Niagara Falls, Canada (Thorold, Ontario), and my late mother-in-law lived in Niagara Falls.  I wish we'd had the R-Pod in those days - that's beautiful country.

In other news, we picked up our new R-Pod 179 this afternoon, and spent several hours at the dealers doing the walk-through.  There's a lot to learn, but we already feel pretty comfortable with it, and my husband did a great job of driving it home.  One thing we did notice: the RP 179 is a lot bigger and heavier than we were expecting (we knew it's weight on paper, but not what that would feel like dragging on the end of our Nissan Frontier).

Really looking forward to getting to know you and the rest of the R-Pod owners forum better!  Happy trails!

Deborah
