Hi everyone!  Wanted to say hello.  I signed up on the "other forum" first and figured I'd play here too! My wife and I recently purchased a 2013 182g that we're so excited to have! Already making upgrades to call it our own!  LOL

Just joining the group.  Have had our 178 for several months but unable to get much camping in as hubby recovering from knee replacement.  Kids use it as "come home to visit" room but planning some short trips soon.  Also have a T@B trailer that I use when it's just me and the dog.  Looking forward to seeing some good pointers and love pics of everyones modifications - not that the little rascal needs any.  Happy Camping!

Newbee here also.  Just bought a 2010 - 171 from Colton RV in Buffalo.  I drive there from Virginia this coming Monday to pick it up.  Hoping weather is accommodating.  Have never RVed before so am a rookie.  Am looking for R Pod gatherings.  Are there any, and where?  Frosty.

Welcome.  Since you are in Virginia, if you are interested several of us get together mid-january for a winter campout in central PA.  Look for the thread in the Events section.

Thanks.  May be to soon after the holidays to do the Pa. trip, but I am interested, and I need a shakedown cruise.  What better way to do it than with R Poders.  I'll look for the thread in the events section.

Thanks, Frosty Big smile.

Camper Bob and Sue already said this (they are the organizers) but as new attendees last year from WA, we had a great time at Seaside, OR last year at the NW Roundup. This would be a great event to come to if it works out for your schedule. Bob plans to announce the details of this later in the winter.

I recommend a small cube-style fan-driven heater for inside.  Designed to heat the air and not you.  Cheap, quiet, and is dark in the night.

If you hang out outside when it is cool, an infrared heater throws the heat directly on you.  Not good for inside overnight since they have a bright orange glow.

Perfect!  Thanks Techntrek.  Heading for Buffalo tomorrow (Sunday) to pick up the R Pod 171 on Monday morning.  Plan to drive back to Northern Virginia Monday afternoon or Tuesday.  Weather will determine my departure.  If I spend the night at the Colton RV campground in Buffalo Monday night, I'll have a cube heater which I plan to get at Target tomorrow.  I did get my 0 degree sleeping bag out of the attic today to take with me as a fall back.
