What could be wrong when I have no electric with power cord plugged in (source OK)?

The first thing to check is whether the GFCI is tripped. Most Rpods only have one, and it's easy to push the "test" button which will disable all the slaved outlets.

The second thing to check is the power panel. Use a DVM to make sure power is getting there.
