Sticking things to walls
1. I just acquired a magnetic mount backup camera. Bhow best to mount to rear of camper? Steel plate with double sided tape? I do not wish to irreversibly change wall...i.e. no screws etc.

Would also like to mount a shelf or similar in side. How best to do with out messing up the wall.

Thanks in advance

3M outdoor rated double-sided tape is likely your best option.

I bolted a three or 4 foot long 2 x 4 to my spare tire rack and mounted the camera on top of that. Easy access to the license plate light for 12 V in my case.  Gives a good view of the road.

Things hanging off the back of a trailer are subjected to all kinds of heavy vibration and abuse. Sounds like a reasonable solution but check it often for any signs of distress. A 2X4 would be a serious projectile should it ever break loose on the highway.

If we're going to do projectiles, we should insist they be serious.

A piece of angle-iron (painted for corrosion control) might be a better option for that use. It will be durable and rigid.

It’s solid as a rock.  I’d be way more worried about the entire spare tire rack braking off at the welds.
