My LT tires are 6 years old, but they have been on the pod for only 4 years and sat in distributor warehouse for 2 years.  Purchased during the covid year and I didn’t pay attention when Sam’s Club gave me 2 year old tires. They are in good condition and under 10,000 miles.

Should they be replaced because they are 6 years old, or run them another 2 years ??  Would like opinions.

I have a 2019 179 and I am running Carlilse Radial ST tires load range Ds.  My thought is if you have a blowout while driving there is a potential of much damage to your trailer. Therefore the manufacture, I believe, recommends replacing the tires when they are 5 years old which I plan on doing.  I still check the tires for the tread separating from the cords and for any checking in the rubber on the sidewalls of the tires.  I have noticed the rubber checking on the sidewalls of the tire and have replaced those tires. I guess that can be called overkill but I don't want to have a tire blowout while driving.

I've had a blow out with "good"tires- Maxxiis
I don't ever want to do that again.
Not discounting the potential trailer damage, but the potential danger to humans is even greater.
The cost of 2 tires is very insignificant to the cost of the potential human damage
I replace my Goodyear Endurance tires as specified.

Thanks.  I will be replacing the tires. This time, I’m going to check the date of new tires before they install them.  Lesson learned.

Had the same issue when purchasing my 177 back in January 2011.  When I went to replace the Turf King tires (China), thinking that they were 5 years old, was surprised to find the tires were produced in 2009, making them 7 years old.  Am now on my 3rd set, Carlisle Radial Trail HD, load range "D" and have been very impressed with their performance.  Note also that Carlisle's warranty is 2x longer than what goodyear offers.

I would definitely replace tires that are 5 years or older.
