First time poster here. We are second owners on an 2017 R-Pod 171. During the family's first camping trip. I noticed a small drip coming from the insulation foam around the tub connection running into the black water tank. It would have taken me ripping all that foam off to find the leak, and potentially just having to drop the tank anyway, so I left it. But NOW, when I hit the brakes there's a ton of liquid that comes spilling over the whole top of the black water tank (But it's CLEAR... as if it's coming from the grey water tank?). I don't understand how it's coming across the entirety of the whole top of the tank, edge-to-edge. Video is here: https://youtu.be/6sIx5BA93Q4 Thanks for any feedback on this. Do you still get the leaking when the black water tank is empty? Is there any leaking in the water line approaching the toilet? There could be a broken valve on the back of the toilet. Are you driving with pressurized water lines? Like is the water pump left in the on position? Just some things to eliminate where the leak is. Hope this helps. ------------- Jay 179/2019 |

I took the panel off and checked and do not have any leaks in the toilet or sink lines, and it happens when there is no pressure or water pump in action. |

Based upon your observation it would appear the leak has to be:at a connection point either at the inlet or outlet site OR some object has compromised the integrity of the tank, thus you have the leak. It would be interesting to find at what height of the tank the leak takes place. Empty tank, obviously no leak. Have you taken the vent panel off the raised flooring area to access under the toilet/shower? As Jato has indicated there could be a compromised section in the black water tank. But there also could be a leak not associated with the black water tank and the leaking water is just escaping onto the top of the tank. The possibilities that come to mind are the "P" traps associated with the sink drain and the shower drain. Also there could be a feed line leaking going to the shower and or the water sink in the wet bath. Have fun investigating this. ------------- Jay 179/2019 |

JR has a good idea, I have the same outside water leakage issue with a leak from the sink drain fitting. Removing the panel under the sink in my case. I mixed up some black epoxy adhesive and resealed the joint. Leaked the most when the trailer was setting on the axle only, trailer not supported with the stabilizers. |

| Hey guys, thanks for these ideas. I did take off the panel off from below the shower pan and ran the shower a full blast. Tested the kitchen sink. Neither had leaks responsible for this odd behavior. It's most noticeable when I drive forward a foot and then slam on the brakes. Then the water comes spilling over the front edge of the tank. |

Oh!  Let me add this! I have that issue that when I connect the city water line, the fresh water tanks just fills all the way up. Could that be related? (not sure why this happens -- a quick google though seems to indicate it's a pretty common problem though).

That is a stuck check valve in the pump. Cycle the pump a few times and see if that fixes it. Also, do you have a shower-miser? If so, are you leaving it in the position to push water back to the fresh water tank? That should be set to the shower position if you don't need hot water. The problem used to be just the check valve until FR and other manufacturers started including shower-miser valves.
