Hello All;

Another question for the group. I don't have my 2017 Rpod 178 manual but I need a new propane tank regulator. Can anyone advise me the model number or other specifics so I can order a replacment?  Thanks Barry

Propane tank regulators for RV's and gas grills are pretty fungible.  You can buy pretty much any one you want for that general purpose.  They are not trailer model or brand specific.  Your local RV parts shop or on line sellers have lots of them that will work fine.

The standard single stage regulator made by Camco is item# 17-59013. Cost (2020 price) $ 25.
If you plan on running a few appliances together then (fridge, HW heater, stove, furnace and outdoor cook stove) you may opt for the two stage model.

I have owned a 177 for over 11 years and have had fridge, inside burners, HW heating up, and furnace all on at the same time and have never had an issue with the single stage regulator.

My pigtail developed a leak. You might replace it, if you haven't already. Also, doping the connections is always recommended.

I have replaced it and wrapped it with gas tape, how tight do those connections fit? Doesn't seem to want to recess completely, I still see some threads, is that normal?

Thanks
Barry

Yes, it's normal. You will see a few threads after it's tightened. You used the yellow tape on the threads before screwing in the threads, right?

I redid the tape and that fixed the leak. Thanks for your help.
