Picked up an R-pod 172 last week and been busy lurking and reading the Forums.  A lot of great information.  Planning a trip in 2 weeks to head down South and stay at a relatives drive way outside  Richmond, VA.  Have all kinds of mods planned.

Welcome!  The first trip to your relative's "camp driveway" is a good place to start.  If anything goes wrong you have their couch as a backup, plus you have the local Walmart to stock up on the things you forgot you need.

Welcome to a great forum and have a great trip to Richmond. We have been driveway camping for some time as it is too darn hot to go anywhere at this time in Florida. It is a great way to work out all the kinks and not be stressed with the inevitable problems. Take your time and have a blast!

Ha. I thought I was the only one who spent their first night in their Pod in the driveway. Couldn't get away for the first two weeks after we got our 171 so we slept in it in the driveway. Grandbaby had to stay out there also. He is three.
