I have a 2018 R-POD 189 that has had the floor replaced by local shop once and is now rotted again.  It appears that shop did not fix the leaks.  My plan now is to replace the floor with aluminum diamond plate and use a carpet over that.

My question(s) has anyone seen how the walls attach to the frame?  The few dated (low res) pictures that I have seen online appear to show the walls sitting on the floor wood vice the perimeter metal frame.  If any one has pictures of this connection and how the walls are bonded to the frame it would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hank

Hank, I can't help you with how the mechanical joint is established, however I would like to bring something to your attention. The 189 probably has the same weight challenges my 179 had which is it has a 3500lb axle which will limit the over all weight of the camper. My guess is in order to achieve enough rigidity in the floor, the diamond plate is going to have to be thick which may make it heavier than the plywood and thus cut into your weight capacity. Not sure, but just keep in in mind. Good luck.

If you add that much weight, you will probably have to do something about the axle.
