   Hello, I'm new here and a new R-Pod owner, although not new to the RV world. I just purchased a 2018 R-Pod 179 and am outfitting it for a 4-day trip to San Simeon Beach State Park next weekend.Name is Alan, I'm 75 years young, and will be solo adventuring in my R-Pod. My wife and I traveled a bit in a 24' Aljo and a 26' NOBO over the years. I'm on my own now (widower) and looking forward to seeing a lot of the western US, and maybe even a coast to coaster or the four corners. Who knows?
My setup is a 2019 Ram Laramie 4x4 ecodiesel, pulling the R-Pod. Off grid powered by Jackery, we'll see if I need to upgrade the AGM and charge controller after this trip. I'm excited to see how it goes. Pictures maybe this week.

	Welcome to the forum. Keep us updated on your adventures. The battery upgrade question is one many of us have faced. I often thought using a Jackery would be a good interim solution. Best of luck.

	Welcome to your 24/7 owners manual. Please keep us up to date on your travels. Just put my 177 to bed last week here in northern Michigan. Possible snow flurries on the horizon, this Sunday in our area. Have enjoyed our pod since March 2011, been a great dependable rig, hope you have the same success with your 179.
