Has anyone added an outside storage compartment door to their pod, and if so where did you get the door?  The storage area under the bunks on the 176T is hard to access from inside.  Picking up the bunk platform with mattress, sleeping bag, pillows and other missilanious items my kids pile up on it make it near impossible to get into especially the drivers side.  I was thinking that adding external access would be a great mod.

Did you reuse the cut out as the door or did it come that way?  Where did you get the parts?  I am thinking about adding a front driver side hatch on my 178?

We had our dealer do that. They ordered a door from Forest River, cut the hole, and installed the door. It works great! It was $400 installed.

No I didn't use the cut out, I put one on each side. The frames and doors are home made, 800$ for 2 little hatches to much to my liking.

Marwayne, Very impressive work.  Are the frames out of wood?

Very nice work. As an old woodworker, I may have to give that a try.  Thanks for sharing.
