Topic: Need Fashion advice for Travel, Can you help? Posted: 27 Jul 2011 at 8:32pm |
I'm traveling to Ciudad Juarez, Chih., Mexico. It's going to be hot like upper 90's. I will be there for 3 or 4 days with my hubby. What clothes & shoes should I take? I want to look cute. I wear a lot of black, I want to get out of this color and explore other colors like summery colors, please give me some suggestions. Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Go to a sport place .. and buy stuff that is light and fresh and dry quickly ..
I think it's the better clothes for travelling.
The skirt that is a bermuda under is good thing and easy to wear.
Sorry I can't say anymore my vocabulary in english is not enough elaborate.
They have nice shoes too .. comfortable and good looking too.

(Hee, hee! I can't wait for the moderators to join in on this one!)
But here is my two cents, for what it is worth . . . .
Damour is right. Choose lightweight and light-colored clothing (shorts, pants, skirts, and shirts-including tee shirts) that can be rinsed and drip-dried. Lightweight cotton is also good. Take a lightweight sweater for layering in the air conditioned places and wear or pack your sandals. Other than that, wear the same kind of clothing you wear when it is hot in this country, such as if you were going to Florida.
I'm curious -- exactly WHERE are you now, Springhot? It's as hot in most of the U.S. right now as it is where you are going.
And of course, . . . don't forget to have fun! Welcome to the Forum.

Thanks, Rpodcamper! I had just sent a private message to Tech because I was suspicious. There was not a single word about an R-Pod or camping in that post. Initially, I was a little naiive to even answer it.
So guess what? YOU get an A+!

Well, personally, I would recommend tennis shoes and perhaps something in pastels, with a casual flair. Avoid dark colors and snowmobile suits, as they can get a bit warm in that climate. Please explore your summertime colors curiousity with all vigor.....be bold!
PS - if you haven't been told....don't drink the water!
What is this "spam" you guys are talking about...seems like a fair question to me.

Good going rpodcamper. I thought that first post was a test-the-waters pre-spam thing, looks like I was right. Rpodcamper fried up some spam when post #2 was made.
