At the start of this season, the original water pump on my 2022 RPod 193 started making a loud sound when turned on and the faucets spit air and a little water. The sound is similar to the sound a kitchen sink makes when the dishwasher is draining - but louder and consistent. The fresh water tank is full.
1) is this just the case that the pump needs replacing?
2) is it relatively easy to replace?
I’m pretty handy when it come to DIY, just have never worked on the RV.
Thanks
Danny

That looks like a different pump than what I had in my Rpod, but they all work on the same premise. Start by checking all connections are tight and not leaking air. Then the filter screen usually under a clear plastic dome. you can also prime it here by pouring some water in then sealing it up. Finally, if all else fails, the check valve may be stuck or not working properly.

Google the brand of pump you have and you should find some trouble shooting guidance.

I can't really see through that tangle of lines, but make sure there are no kinks. Also, as suggested above, check the filter screen. Also, check that the valve for the antifreeze hose is not partially open and that all fittings are tight.

Thanks all.  When I got the pump off, I could see that the housing for the filter was cracked and when I moved it the top just popped off completely.  I replaced the filter part and we are back in business.
I appreciate this forum!
