I will follow your example and go shopping for camping gear.  But I know that will only make me more impatient.

i was told they ran the 179 first.

Get to know it well as you will be expected to give tours of your 180.  Cannot tell you how many tours we have given with our 177 since we picked it up in March 2011 !  Isn't it great to be excited about "the wait?"  Even though ours is already 'winterized' we may take it out in November or December for a weekend for something fun to do.  Of course we will be boondocking as all the campgrounds in Northern Michigan will be closed for the season.

[/QUOTE]i was told they ran the 179 first.

So sorry, I misspoke.   We will be able to Pick it Up on Nov 3rd.  It's in Iowa and we are in NM.

Actually, it was the r-pod forum that got us from mulling to doing.   We got a price locally and we were just mulling when I saw on the Forum someone mentioned looking at Ebay for a better price.  That Ebay dealer offered (almost) the same R-pod for $3,000 less.  We signed and now November can not get here fast enough.

I have planned our first two trips and I am currently internet shopping.  Smile

Question:  You had an electrician install 30 AMP?
Did not think of that.
Can't you just use a 30AMP adapter if not using AC, Fridge, etc (like for cleaning, etc)?

The answer is yes as long as you don't use more than 15A. That means no AC. The microwave, electric water heater, or plugin electric space heater are usually OK if used by themselves. Converter, lights, fridge, radio, vacuum cleaner are all fine even in combination on a 15A circuit. The dedicated 30A circuit is just so much handier.

Thanks for the info.
Camping in my driveway would like be frowned upon by my HOA.
But connecting to 15AMP to get fridge cooling down and for cleaning is needed.
If I find I need the A/C (for prepping, cleaning, etc), then guess I'll need the 30AMP as well.
Congrats to Blimey  - we've both been waiting for seemingly forever.
