Hi All -

My wife and I purchased our first travel trailer and landed on the R-Pod 190. Very glad to see so many people out here who are proud of their campers, it's a good feeling to know they're well loved.

We'll take delivery next Thursday (3/15/18), so we're now planning our first trip for that weekend. Good thing there's a furnace, I'm thinking it'll be cold here in Nebraska.

I"m sure we'll chat later and I'll get a picture of our whole rig once we have it.

Hopefully you will have a full tank of propane.  Congratulations!  Make sure you take notes of what you brought with you that aren't necessary AND also of the things you should have brought but didn't.  If it is anything like ours was, it will be quite a list.  We have been blessed with our 177 since March 2011 and yes, our first shakedown trip was in the winter and in our driveway.  We got a quick idea of what was necessary and what wasn't.  Enjoy your new pod Jamie and Janet.

Welcome and congrats! And don't forget to carry drinking water in your TV, no matter how much you have or don't have in your new Pod. If you're only new to trailers and not new to camping you already know this but I figure it's too important not to mention. Have fun! :-)

Congratulations Jamie & Janet.  We picked up our R-pod 190 at AC Nelson, Omaha, the last week of January.
We've been busy cleaning, modifying and stock up since then.
You're brave souls going out in March!  Where are you headed?

Hi Chuck & Lyn -

Congratulations (late) and what a funny, small world! I called Mahoney and they said they were open, so that's our plan. We live in Lincoln, so worse case is we bail at 2am, and take our freezing bodies home. Indian caves is probably our next destination and them my goal is to start working our way toward South Dakota or possibly Iowa. I have a desire to get to Minnesota boundary waters, but I know it is not a trip we can accomplish in a single day, so I want to find a favorite mid-point somewhere along the way. I really liked the AC Nelson folks and I can't wait to give this a try. Now ... tick ... tock .. tick ... tock.. as we wait for next Thursday.

Jamie, Congratulations on the new 190. We're in a similar situation. We bought a new 189 and we pick it up on the 30th.  I can't wait.  I've been researching everything and anything I can find on the Rpods.  It's been fun.  Sounds like you have a much longer drive than we do.  Good luck and have fun.
