Whats pulling your RPod

Pulling with a 2017 Jeep Unlimited with tow package and sway/load control. Pulls like a charm. It is like the Pod is not attached running at 65 mph. Wind and 18 wheeler only make it move a little. Handles hills but your gas mileage will drop off substantially.

I ask the service manager where I bought my Jeep about the 3,500 lbs rating. He said yes that is the rating but I could pull more but would not elaborate on a number. With the way it drives today 500 lbs more and I would really notice. I don't plan on doing that.

Does your Wrangler have a tow/haul mode or Sport mode for the transmission? If not, does it have a button to turn off overdrive? Depending on what you have, using tow/haul mode or sport mode or turning off overdrive will be beneficial.

I tow with a 2001 GMC Yukon V8 5.3

2012 Expedition XL V8. More for the dogs than the trailer. :)   

We picked up our 2017 178 this weekend and towed it home with a 2006 Volvo XC90 (V8). The dealer used an RF brake controller because of the electrical system in the Volvo. The Prodigy RF controller is excellent! With a weight distributing hitch with sway control, I hardly noticed the trailer. The gas mileage did take a hit though: 22 mpg on the way there, 13 on the way home.
