Just getting bought a 2014 178. We anticipate a lot of dry camping, so changed to LEDs indoors. I also changed the access to the hot water tank for winterizing by cutting the board supporting the bed to open just over the water heater. It saves lifting the whole mattress each winter.

Welcome. Many will split up, putting the tall person diagonally on the dinette or queen (depending on model) and the shorter person on the bunk.

I love the look of the R pod and our truck pulls it nicely, so I want to keep it however there are a couple of things I don't like. Our bed is the table(which is tight for my husband)we do have 2 bunks, not very practical for adults so I was wondering how do you make it work, do you all make your bed daily or do you have a table elsewhere? And for those of you that are 6 foot or taller how do you manage? I would appreciate any ideas. |

Dawg, check out the answers to your question about four or five posts up - April 15. There are other posts concerning hanging things on the walls, you can search for "walls", "hanging", and similar words.

What is the best way to hang things on the walls of the rPod? Can you screw things into the walls? What length screw works best? Should I stick with Velcro instead? Erin

Did not like the wasted space above the bed or the TV/DVD/Radio combo, we read way to much and enjoy the outdoors. So I removed it and replaced it with a above the bed storage compartment. Not bad for only having Tricera-Pod for a week. Made from 1/4 birch plywood, closed off with 1/4 plywood sliding doors. Left the electrical outlet in the storage compartment and drilled a hole so we can gain access to plug in items at night. Will build a self under storage compartment (bed area) soon to hold items such as glasses, books, phone etc.
Not sure how one post images so they can be viewed when you read the post. But at least if you open image you can see what I have done. If the images are too small let me know and I will post larger ones. Edited: made them viewable in-line. Use the little tree icon to insert images. - techntrek
Thank you techntrek. I tried that at first had some issues, my computer or the operator. I figured it out just a few minutes before I read your post. |
