Yeah, it was pretty exciting.  I had a fun time (although tiring) making that trip.  I did just about 1200 miles in just over 20 hours over a two day period to go get it.  Will make for a great story at least...lol.

And I think you are right, they do get to do that.  They just don't have to do that I think.  It seems weird.

Dang, and I thought I drove a good distance.  We have a local Forrest River Dealer, but I'm not sure if he'll service it now, at least not under warranty.  There are other dealers in the area that aren't far, but hopefully we never need to use any of it.

I didn't.  They actually spent close to 2 hours with me going over EVERYTHING.  We even took the panels apart under the sink to see what was back there...lol.  Towing it back was a new experience, but it wasn't bad at all, but I need axle risers.  I can't park it at home where I want without them, unless I want to drag the jacks.  So that'll be my first purchase, then I can park it where it'll live when not in use.

I hope you have a safe trip back with your new Pod.  I am sure you must be excited.
 
I think stopping overnight is an excellant idea ( a good excuse to use your Pod).  There are always lots of good folks here to answer any questions that you might have.

Another good point.  They are going to give me some fresh water, but it won't do me much good if I haven't cleaned the system out yet with the bleach/vinegar deal huh.  I'll stop in the morning before I pick it up and buy a couple gallons of water at the store.  Maybe also some eggs/bacon/bread and stuff.  No need to lug it all the way out there, might as well get it locally.

If you are going to stay overnight in your pod take a couple of gallons of water. You won't be able to use the tanks until they are sanitized and flushed so water system will be unuseable. Refrigerator, stove, lights  and room heat if you need it,  will work though. You should get a charged battery and a full tank of propane (I hope) from your dealer.
