Hi folks, I'm new to the group, and trailer camping. I've been going through my used R179, and it seems that the more I look, the more questions come up.
The first thing I need help with is an updated (most current) owners manual that has instructions for everything, and pictures that show where everything is located. I have found what seems to be a generic manuel on the Forest River site that covers a lot of basic safety, which is useful to a newbie like myself. But I still need the specifics for this model parked on my pad so I can test it out and make sure it's all working properly before I take it for a drive. I'd really appreciate a good link or file so I can download and print a copy for current and future reference. Thanks much, updates and questions to follow. Best regards, Keith Liotta |

Welcome to the forum and congradulations on your new to you 179. You will find, like we all have, this forum is the closest thing to a RPod repair manual that I can find. Ask your questions and you will receive a lot of friendly good advise. I certainly have and some come with pidtures. You can also review older (over 6 months) posts and replys. Again welcome and make a lot of great memories with your 179. Hope this helps you, Jay

Way back when, TechnTrek started a manual, which has gotten additions and edits along the way. You might find your best approximation of an owners manual here.

I have a 2019 / 179 and I think that the tank capacities are the same for the years 2017, 18, & 19. Those capacities are 6 gals in the fresh water heater, 30 gals in the fresh water tank, 30 gals in the black water tank, and 30 gals in the gray water tank. Hope this helps Jay.
