Battery cutoff switch

I know that most install a battery cutoff switch outside on the battery box, to the negative terminal. This is a 2016 RP 178, I'm wondering if there is a way without much complication, to install the battery cutoff switch inside near the converter.

Any ideas here will be welcome and appreciated.

I'm sure it's possible. When I added mine, I installed it on the battery box so I knew for sure nothing was branching off the battery before the switch and causing parasitic drain. Just follow whichever lead you plan to put the switch on to make sure there isn't a buss bar along the way before the switch. Some folks put the cutoff on the positive. Like you, I prefer the negative for safety.

On a 177 the only logical place would be under the starboard side of the dinette seat.  But that required moving the cushion and lifting the plywood panel to access it. 

I plan to mount a battery cutoff on the trailer tongue.
