Enjoy your 172, great floor plan for your family.  When we purchased our pod we felt like kings and queens, no longer sleeping in sleeping bags and having a solid cover over our heads at night instead of a wet tent that eventually would get that moldy smell.  Also a great improvement when you camp and it rains, snows, or has a lot of critters around like grizzlies (Glacier), elk (RMNP) or a host of others.  I wouldn't want to seek one decide to welcome itself by forcing its way inside however!

Thank you everyone. We are excited. We were ultralight backpackers so, while we will certainly have room for some more gear, we hope to come up with some great storage solutions. I'm already having fun seeing what everyone else has done with their gear. I think we'll be hitting up Ikea soon for ideas.

Welcome, I like the model you chose.

I asked my husband to go travel trailer shopping for my birthday this weekend. I already had the R pod in mind and he loved it too. We purchased a 172 for our first R Pod. We have three little ones so we opted for this model for the larger bunk beds. Our boys can easily share one. We wanted something small, easy to use and easy to tow with our Honda Pilot. Now we just have to take the car to Honda for a few things and we can go pick up our new, and very first, travel trailer. =)
