Thank you.  I think I am going to get a new battery as I don't know how old the battery is but I suspect it may be the original battery.

Your fridge isn't getting enough voltage from the battery. The battery may read 13v at the fridge, but when the heating element energizes, it draws down below what is needed by the fridge.

Run the fridge on propane even when traveling. It's safe as long as you turn the fridge off when fueling up at the gas station or going through tunnels that have a warning posted.

Check your battery as well. If it is not a maintenance free AGM, make sure there is plenty of distilled water in the cells.

My Dometic frig runs great on shore power and propane but I get the flashing LED fault light on 12 volt.
The battery reads 12.6 v at the terminals and 13 v at the block on the back of frig.  Heating element voltage also reads Ok on block.  All fuses and breakers intact.  frig is model RM 8501.  Frig control board does not appear accessible (not on back of frig).  This doesn't change if tow vehicle is connected and running.  Bought 2019 176-T used recently and this has occurred from the start.  Any thoughts?
