We have the same model and year. When we looked into this a few years back, there were some who had made it work through engineering and building an entirely new support system, but nothing comes to mind I would call simple.

Has anyone upgrade their factory steps to solid steps like Lipperts or MoRyde? We are towing a 2015 179. v/r Pops
